Beautiful Poetry Books to Celebrate Diverse Cultures and Special Interests
April is a busy, busy month! In April, we also celebrate the beauty of poetry. Reading poetry to all our children has so many benefits towards socio-emotional learning and strengthening literacy skills. Poetry is often based on life experience and told in rhythmic and imagery language. Bringing poetry into the home allows children to build on language patterns, play with language and word structures, examine metaphors, encourages reflection and creative thinking.
